Cаrdі B’ѕ Cаndіd Converѕаtіon: Why She Belіeveѕ Artіѕtѕ Shouldn’t Be Forсed to ‘Pісk а Sіde’

has no problem with her musical collaborators working with anyone that she has present or past issues with.

On Monday (Oct. 9), a September episode of the Spout Podcast went viral, after discovering the “Up” rapstress spoke about her ideas of loyalty when it comes to making music with other artists.

“If I like you, and I meet you, and we do a song, I don’t expect you to, like, pick a side or anything,” she said. “You could work with whoever you want to work with. Because at the end of the day, this is a business, and you gotta look out for yourself, always. Just don’t sh*t on me. And don’t show me that you’re a fake bi**h.”

She added, “That’ll be breakin’ my heart. And when I see you, I’ma let you know. And when I have to express myself, I’ll express myself.”

Cardi recently took to Instagram Live, warning haters to leave her “the f**k alone.” Unclear of what provoked the PSA, the Bronx rhymer threatened to unveil receipts that could leave the internet in “shambles.”

“I will f**king bring this internet into f**king shambles, bi**h,” she started. “I been trying not to disappoint my fans because I’ve been trying to be Cardi B, the professional. But Belcalis, the demon, it be really close to come out. And I don’t want that because I don’t want to disappoint my fans.”

She continued, “I’ma just say this: people love Cinderella ’til Cinderella get a glass house. To my haters and to y’all muthaf**kas that want to see mess, leave me the f**k alone. Because I come with receipts. I come with receipts, years-old receipts. I got receipts on all you ni**as and all you bi**hes. And I will f**king bring this internet into f**king shambles, bi**h. It will be crazy.”

“So let me keep it cute. I have matured. Keep me there. ‘Cause this sh*t will go down, bi**h. I will land a muthaf**kin’ helly in this bi**h. Facts,” she added.

Pretty much claiming that her actions will speak louder than her words, she added, “And I won’t even just say it out my mouth. I literally got real receipts with dates. So leave me because y’all not going to be ready for that. Y’all not going to be ready for nothing. Let me mind my business. Let me keep working. Let me be a mom. Let me keep putting music out.”

The mom-of-two recently dropped her end-of-the-summer-track “Bongos” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. The two performed the tune at the 2023 MTV VMAs, ahead of drama that took place between Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, and Offset — Cardi’s husband.

Days after the VMAs, a video surfaced of Petty and his crew posted outside of a building and claiming to be looking for the former Migos rapper.

“You gonna be planning your funeral, pu**y,” Petty could be seen and heard saying in the clip, as another man added, “They wanted to come at me at the VMAs, man. We ain’t even do nothing to nobody.” Just before the clip ended, another man can be heard saying, “Don’t make us put you off the set, ni**a.”

Following the video, Set posted an IG Story from a private jet laughing and saying, “We hopping off jets… [they] standing outside,” leading many to believe he was talking about Petty and his crew.

After the viral incident, Petty was reportedly ordered to serve 120 days of home detention for violating the terms of his probation.

In a court order filed on Wednesday (Sept. 20) in California, the New York native was summoned to home monitoring for “making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.”

The specific individual was rapper Offset, né Kiari Kendrell Cephus.

Neither Cardi nor Nicki have publicly spoken on the matter, but both were seemingly taking jabs at each other on social media after the incident.
